This Will Take Affiliate Marketing To The Next Level!

Hi there,

Here’s an interesting blog post for you..

When videos started to grow popular on the Internet in
the past couple of years, the Internet Marketing
landscape started to change.

Affiliate Marketing was not exempted, either.

The most classic mistake people tend to make in
affiliate marketing is not capturing the opt-in leads
first before sending their visitors to the merchant’s
website.

So what smart marketers often do is that they would
have their own Squeeze Page for the visitors to opt
into their list, before sending them to the website
they are an affiliate for.

This is so the affiliate marketer can build his own
opt-in list and do his follow-ups later.

A few but exceptionally smarter marketers, on the other
hand, take this to the next level.

=====> THEY IMPLEMENT VIDEO MARKETING, TOO.

You probably notice most top Internet Marketing experts
are now using videos on their Squeeze Pages. And
smarter affiliates are also doing the same for their
own, for one obvious reason:

=====> VIDEOS CAN SKYROCKET YOUR TRAFFIC AND SALES
CONVERSIONS!

Unfortunately, the problem with video marketing is that
to begin with, you have to know how to make your own
videos.

And even if you could do your own videos, what if you
learn that the affiliate program doesn’t convert well
for you after all?

Affiliate Power Videos remove all these barriers.

At Affiliate Power Videos, you get 10 unique, high
converting Video Squeeze Pages, and 5 new ones every

Step 2: Upload the video and squeeze pages to your web
host

Step 3: Start driving in traffic, build your opt-in
list and rake in affiliate sales!

You might be thinking that this is going to be a costly
monthly membership - maybe $97, $197 or even $297 a
month.

You’re going to be in for a pleasant surprise — this
one’s on the house (read: zero cost)!

AdzZoo Introduces Mobile Engage

For years businesses have relied on exposure through traditional mediums like Newspapers, Radio Ads, Magazines, Word of Mouth and more recently Web Sites for their very survival. Most of these mediums create “Static Impressions” regarding their business or service. While this is important and beneficial, moving from “Static Impressions” to “Active engagements” will undoubtedly be the key to continued success in this changing environment.
We have become a mobile society. All you need to do is observe your customers and you’ll quickly realize why mobile marketing needs to be an intricate part of your marketing strategy. As of December 2009, there were 286 Million active cell phone subscribers in the US. With a population of 308 Million Americans, it’s not hard to understand how reliant on mobile phones we’ve become. Mobile phones are becoming people’s primary connection to the world around them. Where is your phone now? Chances are it’s within 3 feet of you, if not actually on you.
Google’s Chief Executive, Erich Schmidt, warned that organizations should think of their
Mobile Strategy ahead of their Internet strategy – but that the two were intertwined so deeply that it was hard to think about one without the other. “Mobile is the hottest area
of computer technology.” (July 2010, Guardian Activate)

Why is AdzZoo Mobile Engagement so Critical?

Mobile text advertising sounds so simple and appealing in theory. What’s the reality? The reality is that regulators do not want to see text advertising take the same dismal path as email marketing. Email marketing is associated with spam and relentless unwanted advertisements. As a consequence, text advertising has a well regulated “opt-in” component. The key to a successful text advertising strategy is to capture local “opt-in” customers in a focused and consistent manor. This is a key feature that AdzZoo provides through its ‘campaign coaches’.

The Statistics are Overwhelming!
• 12 Billion texts are sent each month in the U.S. alone
• There are three times more cell phones than computers
• 90% of text messages are read within 1 minute of receipt
• 23% of texts messages are forwarded to others
• 57% of cell phone users text regularly
Text Vs Email
Out of 100 marketing emails sent only 22 are actually received and less than 2 respond.
With Text Messages, 98 are received and on average 17-28 respond!
That’s over ten times the response rate over email!

Amazon Takes Stand Against Ending Saturday Mail‏

Small businesses that rely on the United States Postal Service to get merchandise to their customers may have a friend in Amazon. Amazon has come out in opposition of the USPS’s proposal of discontinuing Saturday deliveries.

As Amazon Vice President for Global Public Policy Paul Misener said in a statement to Congress, “Customers have come to appreciate and expect Saturday delivery. While they may be willing to wait until Monday or Tuesday for a bill they don’t really want; an advertisement they didn’t ask for; or a magazine to which they subscribed long ago; they expect the items they purchased this week to be delivered as soon as possible.”

Which makes sense. Heck, in many cases, Saturday deliveries are even preferable, since a customer who works a nine-to-five, Monday-through-Friday sort of job will have more time to enjoy a new product if he or she gets it mid-afternoon on a Saturday.

Then here’s another problem with the USPS discontinuing its Saturday deliveries: big corporations would probably have much better luck than small businesses when trying to negotiate with other organizations about a replacement service.

So it could be a very good thing that Amazon, with its market cap of almost $53 billion, has taken this position. Just about any coalition of small businesses would have trouble generating as many headlines and as much awareness.

Of course, if the USPS isn’t able to save money in this manner, we could be looking at more expensive stamps or some other undesirable outcome.

Old School Meets New Wave: Social Media and Common Courtesy

Started by Chris Tompkins, CEO, Go! Media International, LLC and Co-Founder of Served Fresh Media, LLC and Co-Host of “Fresh Out the Oven”

We hear so much about social media today, some are questioning whether common business courtesies have gone the way of the landline phone.

Not that many years ago, business was conducted in office buildings, where the prospect sat behind a desk, and you made your pitch. Business was often concluded with a handshake. Thank you notes were sent by mail, sometimes with a business card tucked inside. Contracts and other documents were sent by mail, or perhaps courier in some industries. You waited nervously for the phone to ring to find out if you got the job. In the meantime, you continued to “stuff the pipeline”, making follow-up calls and, on slow days, those dreaded cold calls. Occasionally, the boss gave you a break and sprung for tickets to a convention in another city. When the facsimile machine was first introduced, it was truly revolutionary.

Things sure have changed. Today, business moves at the speed of light. There is barely time to think, let alone react, or even ponder.

Does that mean common courtesies like handshakes and thank you notes have been dumped on the side of the digital highway?

Hardly. In fact, studies show the more digital the world becomes, the more people crave human niceties. Actually, social media is proof of this trend. Social media is all about building communities…large groups, small groups, special interest groups, tiny niche groups…and it is within these groups that we are beginning to see so-called ‘old school’ behaviors blending beautifully with new wave technologies.

Business cannot survive without people. So it stands to reason that a fully digital environment cannot work. (Even StarTrek needs people to operate.) We crave human interaction. We want to share ideas with others. We seek support and camaraderie.

This begs the question: what can you do to blend your marketing efforts more harmoniously…to engage and reach out in ways that have nothing to do with a keyboard?

How about placing a real live phone call to simply say hello? If you have been interacting with a colleague or customer exclusively by email, call and surprise that person. Or if a surprise is inappropriate, drop an email and say, “Can you chat briefly by phone tomorrow at 10? Just want to catch up a bit.” So simple, but so gratifying.

Here’s an idea that has worked wonders for me: clipping a relevant article from an authoritative periodical, and emailing it with a note: “Saw this and thought of you.” Wouldn’t you feel special if you received something like this?

Another idea is to buy10 or 12 copies of a hot new book, then using them as thank you gifts. Sign the inside cover with a motivational message and your name, insert your business card, and mail it off…Get big brownie points and promote your favorite authors, all while making the client feel great! This method has costs attached, but the reaction and the loyalty-building are well worth it.

Social media is a fantastic business-building tool, but in the end, “people who need people are the luckiest people in the world”.

What do you think? Is there still value is the old marketing tools? Also, how do you make the cross over from online to offline?

3 Simple Steps To Make Money with PLR Articles

Whatever you are doing online, you can make money with PLR. If you write your own content you will save time by rewriting PLR articles instead.  If you outsource, you will save money.
And even if you get free content syndicated to your site, you can use PLR to drive traffic.

So here are 3 important tips to making money with PLR articles.

1. Pick A Niche Where People Are Spending

A lot of PLR article memberships will have you download a ton of articles in niches where, frankly,
you would have to be a miracle worker to make money.

Sometimes this is because nobody is interested in the subject. More often, it is because they are
not spending enough to make it worth your time. Either the products are very cheap so your commissions are tiny, or the visitors are not likely to order online.

Sure, you can still have Adsense on your site and maybe make a few cents that way. But it will not be more than a few cents a click because the advertisiers will not pay much for clicks from
visitors in a low-spending market.

So before you even take the time to set up a simple blog, ask yourself a few questions. Is this really
a popular area? Who is going to be buying products or signing up for services online? And what products will they buy?
Are there affiliate programs? Are there CPA offers?

2. Make Your PLR Unique - At Least A Little

When you buy PLR you must realize that other people have the right to use it, just like you. Changing it, at least a little, means you have more chance of getting your version into the
search engine results.

The simplest way to alter PLR articles, if your English is not good or you do not want to take much time, is to change the keywords.  These will be in the title and usually around 3 places in
the article. Having a different title is a great start and for your own site, this may be all you have
to do.

The next step if you want to go further is to change the first and last paragraphs. You can alter or delete a few words, split one sentence into two, and make easy changes like that.

Rewriting the article completely is necessary if you want to submit it to article directories. For a complete marketing strategy, you could rewrite the article for the top article directories but
use a less changed version on your own site.  That way you are not even competing with your own
article for Google’s attention.

3. Be Creative In How You Use The Articles

So far we have covered some of the standard ways to make money with PLR articles. But think outside of the box and you can steel ahead of other marketers.

Using the articles along with an opt in list will help you make more money. Capture subscribers using a free ebook that you compiles from some related PLR articles, then use the information
in the articles to send them a regular newsletter.  You can promote your affiliate products in
every newsletter.

Many people will not buy the first time they see an offer. They need 2, 3 or anything up to 10 visits. Plus you have the chance to promote several different products to them over a period of
time. So by bringing your subscribers back to your offers again and again, you can easily make a
lot more money.

Or how about video? You can use points from the articles to create a video to promote your chosen affiliate product.  Create simple slides that summarize the main points. You can do this with
Powerpoint or a free online video creation program such as Jing.  then either narrate your
commentary, including more details, or simply have music accompanying the slides.

You can use PLR articles as your ’secret weapon’ to save time and money in virtually any traffic strategy that you can think of.  Get into a profitable niche and focus on it, change the PLR at least
a little and be creative in your thinking.  Then you should find it easy to make money with PLR
articles.

Google Places - New Name - New Features

If you have a brick and mortar store, and rely on walk-in traffic for your survival, you may be wondering what the Internet can do for your business. Believe it or not, a lot - and you don’t even need a website.  Click here to see how this is achieved.

In the “old days”, the bulk of businesses relied on the Yellow Pages to get the phone ringing. The majority of marketing dollars were spent getting listed in this ten pound paperweight. Over the years the costs associated with Yellow Pages have sky-rocketed.  In addition to the rising costs, the ads were placed right along side the business’ competitors. With the popularity of the Net, less people let “their fingers do the walking” when they need something, and more are letting their mouse do the talking.

Google has always understood the power of local search, and years ago launched its Local Business Center where any business can get a listing for free. Recently, they’ve done a major overhaul and have re-launched with a new name of “Google Places“, showcasing a host of new features. The name change was done to tie in with Google’s Place Pages which were launched over a year ago and include over 50 million places worldwide. Official Google Blog

If you want customers to be able to find you, and haven’t listed your offline store here yet, you need to get with the program. To learn how to get your business’ online ad in front of Local Searchers who are already looking for you, click here. You are missing out on the chance to reach millions of Google users, including Google Map users, Google’s 800 Voice Directory Search and even Google Earth. And all of this exposure won’t cost you a dime. It’s totally free.

Using Twitter To Promote Your Blog and Enhance Your Business

You can’t visit many blogs these days without seeing the Twitter logo and being invited to ‘Tweet’. Twitter is a micro-blogging tool which is becoming more and more widely-used and no longer seen as just a bunch of people “writing about what they had for dinner” (I had a salad by the way…). Here are a few ideas on how Twitter is beneficial for you or your business:

As a research tool:

It allows you insight into an amazing community of people from around the world to find out what they are thinking, feeling and experiencing in different ways. In a sense, Twitter has become a news service where you’ll quickly find if there is a breaking story somewhere in the world, by watching it. It is getting more popular because it’s very quick and easy to use. A wide variety of people use it because of the character limit of the messages, which keeps communications brief, convenient and productive.

For collaboration and networking:

Ongoing interaction is helpful for your business, in a number of different ways. It can support you to generate new ideas, or get you in front of potential new customers or collaborators. For your existing customers, it can inspire confidence and let people know what you are up to, encouraging them to stay in touch. It can also create significant relationship opportunities which are useful both now, and longer term.

To direct traffic:

Twitter is all about encouraging people to stay in touch! If your Twitter page is not driving direct traffic to your blog, then it’s not doing its job properly. There are many ways to drive direct traffic to your own website, from your page. You need to use these key benefits by posting regular, informative ‘Tweets’ to your followers to keep things lively and interesting.

As a marketing tool:

For marketers who use it, this is a great way to reach out to a different demographic. For those who are not able to commit to regular blogging, particularly due to time restraints, it could be the answer for social marketing. Using it is an interesting exercise for companies, to try communicating their own announcements.

To reinforce your brand:

You can use it to expand your brand or to show a different side of you. Some people inject humor into Twittering that you don’t see on blogs. There’s also something a little more personal about many of the people on it, letting you see the ‘real’ person behind the business image.

To promote content:

Twitter can potentially drive traffic and promote content to your primary sales site. It offers a tool called ‘Twitter Feed’ which will take the titles and URLs from blog feeds and publish it on your account. This is a great way to promote your content, without you having to lift a finger.

To enhance SEO:

You can increase the popularity of your profile page with the help of some tricks. Find people’s Twitter pages which rank highly. For Example, ‘Brent D. Payne’ is a popular user who has a 7 page ranking and 21,720 followers to his profile. If you can link to a well-visited profile page, your profile will get popular and ranked in return.

For easy updates:

Now you can use your cell phone to post updates! This will help you to keep up with fresh and related content from anywhere, any time. You can very easily post text from your cell phone as Twitter allows 140 characters for one post. Updating your profile page frequently will bring people back to find what you are posting.

To assess your audience:

Through Twitter, you can get the sense of what people think about a subject, which is a very positive way of making sure you post well. It helps you to know people better, and supports you to keep updated on the thoughts of your potential readers and their requirements, and then cater for them.
All in all, it’s a convenient, fun and simple tool to use which holds a number of benefits over conventional tools. If you’re not Tweeting already, perhaps it’s time to sign up?

Forget the Yellow Pages - It’s All About Local Search

With yellow pages being out of date before they’re even off the printing press, it’s no surprise that Local Search on the Web has taken the place of dusty old “yellows” as the preferred method for finding local products and services.

Local Search allows you to generate search results by neighborhood, city, state, or zip code.   It’s ideal for physicians, dentists, contractors, realtors, restaurants, retailers, or any businesses that serve customers/clients who come from a limited geographic region.

For example, if you’re a Northeast Ohio-based orthodontist, most likely your patients are also going to be from Northeast Ohio.  Your primary objective should be gaining search engine rankings in the immediate region because that’s your “bread and butter”.  A patient seeking orthodontic help in California isn’t going to do you much good, but one in Akron is a potential new customer.

Even if you need to have a national presence in the search engines, it still may be important for you to have a local presence.  We’re a Canton Web Design and SEO firm.  While we serve clients across the country, the majority of our clients come from a 50 mile radius.  So while we don’t limit our Web Marketing to Local Search techniques, it’s critical that we have a strong presence in local results.

How It Works
There are three ways to go about searching for local results.  First, you can use a local search engine such as Google Local, Yahoo! Local, or www.local.com.  Second, you can use an Internet yellow pages site such as yellowpages.com or superpages.com.  Third, you can use a regular search engine like Google, but use geo-modifiers, such as “Canton, Ohio Web Design”.

Local Search Benefits
Local Search isn’t just convenient for users; it’s also loaded with benefits for the businesses being listed.  Here are a few of the benefits:

  • Free or inexpensive local visibility and awareness
  • Additional links to the site
  • More visibility in the search engines
  • More targeted traffic to the website
  • More traffic to the brick-and-mortar store

Popular local sites
We’ve listed a few popular sites where you’ll want to make sure you create a listing.  Of course, there are many more in addition to these, and your own community will have its own sites you’ll want to consider.  These, however, are a good starting place:

  • superpages.com
  • Yahoo! Local
  • Google Local/Google Maps
  • yellowpages.com
  • local.com
  • citysearch.com

(Note: some of these sites charge a fee for inclusion.)Local Search Best Practices
Getting effective local search results doesn’t just happen by virtue of having a website.  You need to ensure your own site is in tip-top shape by following a few best practices.   Be sure to put your address on the Contact page of your website and any other appropriate pages.  You’ll also want to explain on your site how your business relates to the community.  If you serve on any local committees or board or have any local media mentions, you’ll want to be sure to mention this on your site.  Finally, be sure to spell out state names (OH Web Design vs Ohio Web Design).

Social Media and Local Search
With Social Media sites absolutely exploding with new users, it’s no surprise that some Social Media sites are offering Local Search options to help people connect within their local communities:

  • Facebook - network with others from your hometown
  • Flickr - join one of Flickr’s photo-sharing groups, many of which are location-specific
  • Twitter - use the advanced feature to do a geo-search for local members
  • LinkedIn - look for and network with professionals in your area

Recap
With Local Search making up anywhere from 60-75% of all Internet searches, there’s no question that it is crucial if you have a geo-specific business. When it comes to Web Marketing, local businesses actually have certain advantages over businesses with a national presence.  Instead of having to compete on a national scale, local businesses can focus their web marketing efforts on a more targeted geographic area and even find success a bit easier.
